Where it is still warm
At lunchtime, it was forbidden to leave the houses. One day, we quietly took the big plastic table and carried it to the empty house. By 6:30pm everything had returned to its original place, as if nothing had ever happened. “Where it is still warm” is a project in which I seek to explore the tension between restriction and freedom, between control and instinct, showing how even the simplest sensations can provide a window of escape in a world of rules. Drawn from my childhood memories, I photographed in a small settlement of little houses where I used to spend my summer holidays. Back then, I would lie on the sun-warmed asphalt, in secret — letting the heat hold me together. These small, silent acts of rebellion still remain close.
