What Returns in the Night
I have always experienced sleep as an unstable space, filled with vivid and recurring images that remain with me long after waking. Some dreams stay with me throughout the day, leaving behind a sense of unease that I try to understand. I often find myself returning to them, searching for their origins and for what they might reveal about fears, memories, or emotions that are difficult to access while awake. My images are not meant to describe specific dreams, but to follow their emotional residue, unfolding as fragments of an inner landscape suspended between recognition and uncertainty. Through photography, I try to hold onto sensations that would otherwise disappear upon waking. Rather than offering answers, the work remains part of an ongoing attempt to understand what returns night after night and why certain feelings persist. This project keeps unfolding, like dreaming itself.
