Learning how to return
“Learning How To Return” is a photographic project that reflects on what is missing from family archives. Approaching memory as something unstable and constructed rather than fixed, the project maps symbols of love, control, and absence as they surface through fragments and omissions. Through still lifes, staged images, and archival material, objects and gestures are treated as carriers of memory, allowing childhood to re-emerge as an open, shifting space. By repositioning the former silent witness within the frame, the work reclaims authorship of the narrative and reveals what was once peripheral or overlooked.
